The Miss Earth 2010 Pageant press conference held Wednesday morning in Ho Chi Minh City. Vietnamese organizers and Carousel Productions team were present at the event. The 2010 Miss Earth Pageant will run from November 4th to December 4th, 2010.
Brazilian native Larissa Ramos, the current Miss Earth, will crown her successor at the conlusion of the one and a half hour telecast. She has spent her reign travelling all over the Philippines and other countries representing the Miss Earth Foundation and championing its causes. The new Miss Earth will do the same.
More than ninety contestants, from all over the world, will arrive in Vietnam on November 4th, participating in various pre-pageant activities and touring four cities: Ho Chi Minh City, Phan Thiet, Hoi An and Nha Trang leading up to the finals on December 4th.
Each contestant will participate in a "closed-door" preliminaries and will be judged in two categories: interview (environmental projects, knowldege about the environment and current environmental issues) and physical beauty (parading in their official swimwear wearing no make up). Only sixteen semi finalists will advance to compete for the title of Miss Earth 2010.
