JENNIFER Hawkins is set to become a millionaire after being unveiled as the new face -- and brains -- of a leading lingerie brand.

The former Miss Universe has signed a three-year contract that will take the one-time cheerleader move from the catwalk to the boardroom.

As well as modelling the Lovable underwear range, the 22-year-old will be contributing ideas for products and campaigns.

As part of the agreement, Hawkins will work alongside the design team and source fabrics when overseas.

"Lovable is a cute, girly and fun brand," she said.

"It's great because I get to give my input into the brand -- that's the main reason I agreed to do it."

She admits to relishing the opportunity to simultaneously influence and wear the products.

"It's going to have a cheeky element as well," she said.

Unlike rival brands that prefer a sultry, glamorous image, Lovable aims to be a feminine and fun "girl next door" label.

Drawing on her experience, Hawkins is getting into her role by issuing important advice for women on lingerie shopping.

"I think the biggest mistake girls make is not getting measured," she said.

"I went and found out I should have been wearing a different size.

"You shouldn't be able to feel your bra."

It looks set to be a busy year for Hawkins, who is one of the contestants on the new season of Channel 7's Dancing with the Stars.

She is also filming around the world as a presenter for The Great Outdoors.
