Miss Universe bets sell lemonade for a cause

LAS VEGAS, Nevada – Candidates to the Miss Universe 2010 beauty pageant spent some of their time contributing to a worthy cause.
Just hours after the photo opportunity at the Welcome to Las Vegas sign, Miss Universe bets raised money by selling lemonade to passersby at the Fashion Show Mall on the Las Vegas strip to benefit the Nevada Cancer Institute.
Clad in their swimsuits, the Miss Universe candidates drew quite a crowd. Among the crowd were Filipinos who took the opportunity to snap a picture with one of the ladies.
Filipinos also expressed their continued support to the representative of the Philippines, Venus Raj.
“We are looking out for opportunities to show just moral support, bringing out flags perhaps, wearing our costumes to show that we will be there for her,” said Regil Tan.
“Very important dahil suportado ang Pilipinas lalo na lagi siyang number one,” said another Pinoy, Edwin Sarmiento.
Meanwhile, Miss Guam, Vanessa Torres, who is part Filipino by blood, and Miss Indonesia, Cory Sandioriva, find Miss Philippines friendly.
