Jesinta on Coast to help out

THERE are many glamorous places you might expect to see the newly crowned Miss Universe Australia, Jesinta Campbell.
Gracing the catwalks of Paris, air-kissing with celebrities in sunny Saint Tropez, or sipping bubbly at a star-studded event with Donald Trump.
The truth is you are more likely to see Jesinta volunteering her time at a retirement home on the Gold Coast.

The humble 18-year-old has just moved back to the Coast to spend some quality family time at her 'sanctuary' in Clagiraba before she heads off to Las Vegas for the finals next month.
She told the Bulletin she recently rang a Nerang aged care home to see if she could 'help out'.
"The older they have lived, the more they have to give back," she said.
"It is so important to stay connected. No university or class can give you those life lessons. It (charity) keeps you grounded."
The former Aquinas College school captain has always been committed to charity and is an ambassador for Muscle Sprouts promoting healthy habits to overweight and inactive children.
It is this passion for giving back that inspired Jesinta to pursue the Miss Universe crown.
"I want to be more than a model, not just a pretty face," she said.

The Miss Universe finals will be held in Las Vegas on August 23.
