Qory prepared herself for Miss Universe

(Waspada Online/Dedy Rzky Ginting) JAKARTA - The new Puteri Indonesia, Qory Sandioriva vows to perform her best ahead 2010 Miss Universe, despite she yet to set winning the international beauty contest. However, she would not join the competition, just as ordinary contestant. "I'd prefer to be realistic. Surely, I would performed the best of me," she said in Jakarta, as she accepted her prizes as 2009 Puteri Indonesia in Graha Mustika Ratu, Souh Jakarta, Tuesday (Nov.11). Qory won recent Puteri Indonesia held by Puteri Indonesia foundation last October. She expressed carrying out well preparation, such as to learn rich cultures found in Indonesia, from Sabang up to Merauke. "Of course, I have to keep my fitness, consuming adequate nutrition, plus feeding up my brain about Indonesia," she told. Miss Universe is an annual international beauty contest run by the Miss Universe Organization. The contest was founded in 1952 by California clothing company Pacific Mills. The pageant became part of Kayser-Roth and then Gulf and Western Industries, before being acquired by Donald Trump in 1996. Along with its rival contests — Miss World and Miss Earth — this pageant is one of the most publicized beauty contests in the world. The current Miss Universe is Stefanía Fernández, from Venezuela.
