Femina Miss India South finals today

HYDERABAD: Tonight the 16 beautiful finalists of the Pantaloons Femina Miss India South 2008 will compete for the most coveted pageant title at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre.

The grand finale is all set to thrill the audience with a heart-stopping show and a nail-biting elimination rounds. The event will also have scintillating performances by Malavika, Nitu Chandra, Minakshi Sarkar, Devi Shri Prasad, Gauri Munjal, Sindhu Menon and Samiksha. The contestants will dazzle the evening in sensational creations by Pantaloons, Rana Gill and Satya Paul.

The contestants will walk the ramp choreographed by Hemant Trevedi, the official choreographer and contestant director PFMIS 2008, and Radhika Rao, the official assistant choreographer PFMIS 2008. The acts have been choreographed by Krishna Reddy. The hosts for the evening are Sindhura Gadde and Aseem Sharma. The PFMIS finale would be telecast later on SUN TV Network, preceded by a reality series.

Pantaloons is the title sponsor for the Femina Miss India South 2008. SAFI and Gitanjali Maya Gold and Hyderabad International Convention Centre are the associate sponsors. SUN TV Network is the official telecast partner, Gitanjali Maya Gold is also the crown and jewellery sponsor and Novotel is the hospitality sponsor. Wrigley India Private Limited and Ray-Ban Sun Optics India Ltd. are the co-sponsors of the pageant. Radio Mirchi is the official radio partner.

Speaking on the occasion, Sameer Soni, national director of PFMIS 2008, said South India has always been the land of great Indian beauty; the likes of Lara Dutta, Diana Hayden, Dia Mirza, Pooja Chitgopekar etc. have been highly successful in representing India internationally and have created a niche for themselves.
