Former Miss World Rosanna Davison is in the High Court suing Ryanair for allegedly defaming her on its website over comments she made about the the charity calendar of the airline.
The jury has heard the 27-year-old model was deeply offended by a press release which she claims implied she is narrow-minded, jealous, racist and elitist.
Ryanair refutes the claim of libel.
This 3-day libel action against Ryanair centres on a press release issued by the airline on its website about Rosanna Davison in November 2008.
It was published in response to comments by the model on the charity calendar for 2009 containing pictures of female cabin crew in bikinis.
None of the models in the calendar were Irish and the Irish Independent quoted the comment of Rosanna Davison that if she was organising it she would have made more of an effort to get Irish women involved.
A press release by Ryanair said her comments bordered on racism and demonstrated an elitist attitude against Ryanair international cabin crew.
Her lawyers say Rosanna Davison was deeply offended.
They claim Ryanair is calling her racist and that this has damaged her reputation in what they say is an unfair and unprovoked attack on the model.
