Miss Earth’s talent show scheduled on Nov 9

VietNamNet Bridge – The first sub-competition of the Miss Earth 2010 pageant will take place at HCM City’s Diamond Palace on November 9, hosted by Miss Asia American Jennifer Pham and supermodel-actor Binh Minh.

In addition to 90 contestants from all continents, the Talent Show will feature pop stars My Tam and Dam Vinh Hung.

The organizing board said that over 50 contestants have registered to participate in the talent competition. However, the best 20 performances will be selected for the Talent Show on November 9.

Vietnam's representative Luu Thi Diem Huong will compete at the show. She will perform folk dances that are inspired by traditional dances from the north, south and central regions of the country.

The talent show will be broadcasted live on VBC and SCTV6 channels. An auction will be held at the event to raise funds for flood victims in the central region of the country.

This is the first time the Miss Earth pageant will be held outside of the Philippines. The final round will take place at Vinpearl Land resort in Nha Trang on December 4.

By November 4, representatives of Mexico, Jamaica, Guam, Mauritius, etc. arrived in HCM City. All other contestants will arrive in the city from now until November 6.

The top 14 contestants will be chosen on December 2 based on an interview format about knowledge on environmental protection.
