BEAUTY queen Jesinta Campbell has been stood up for the Brownlow Medal count - again - by Hawthorn footy champ Brad Sewell.

Miss Universe Australia, and the second runner-up in the international beauty competition, has been forced into accepting a second-best offer of taking Sam Newman’s son Jordan, after earlier knocking back his dad’s offer to take her to the Brownlow on Monday night.

Campbell said she had gone on a date overnight with the talented midfielder to Chinatown, and he had come down with a dose of food poisoning following a seafood dish and would not be going to the count.

“He ordered the seafood, which probably wasn’t the wisest decision, and he’s copped a bit of food poisoning.

Campbell said she avoided the same fate: “I had chicken”.

It is the second time, Sewell has let the young beauty down, last week sleeping through a morning radio “date” to chat with Campbell.

Campbell, 22, earlier laughed off the Footy Show fossil's offer, saying he was too old for her.

"Maybe he can go to the pub and have a beer with my grandfather . . . he's the same age as him," she said last week.

But in a live cross to Sam Newman’s MTR radio show this morning, from his own Hot Breakfast show on Triple M, Eddie McGuire confirmed the former Geelong great’s son Jordan was available to take Campbell’s arm.

“I’ve taught him everything he knows. And if he’s got any sense at all. He’ll forget everything I’ve taught him,” Newman quipped.

“His manners are impeccable, he’s well-bred and he’s got good stock lines,” he said.

“He’s got a suit - don’t worry he’s not a bogan,” Newman assured her.

Jordan admitted Campbell had “drawn the short straw” with him as a date to footy’s big night.

Campbell earlier appealed to Eddie McGuire to find her a date, broadcaster Triple M pulled out the stops in an attempt to win her an escort.

The near-perfect woman’s original choice of Demon young gun Tom Scully fell over when it emerged the player didn't have a Brownlow ticket.

McGuire's old mate Newman stepped up to the plate, only to be knocked out of the ball park.

It appears the lure of a date with Miss Universe Australia isn't enough to tempt some of footy's young guns.

It's believed they are fearful of copping a ribbing from their mates if their only ticket to the event is on the arm of a beauty queen.

Campbell insisted she wasn't looking for a boyfriend, just a date to the Brownlow.
