'Celebrity Apprentice' winner Bret Michaels hosting Miss Universe pageant
Bret Michaels' close connection with Donald Trump is now netting him an extra gig. According to a new report from "Access Hollywood", the reigning "Celebrity Apprentice" champ -- who barely survived a major health scare following a brain hemorrhage earlier this year -- will be hosting the 2010 Miss Universe pageant along with Natalie Morales from NBC's "Today".
The Miss Universe pageant is owned by Trump, and the competition has forced him to make some fairly large decisions in the past. (Just look at what he did previously in regards to former Miss California Carrie Prejean.)
This is also not the first time that Trump has used an "Apprentice" alum for his Miss Universe pageant -- former "Deal or No Deal" model Claudia Jordan recently booked a gig on the show as well.
Bret Michaels also reportedly lost out in the running to be the next "American Idol" judge, with Steven Tyler being hired to fill Simon Cowell's seat.
