(CANVAS STAFF REPORTS) - The women from the Miss World competition are taking part on the World Cup happening this month in South Africa. The Miss World representatives are officially the 33rd team at this year's soccer World Cup.
The team consists of Miss World representatives from the World Cup competing nations as well as Miss World Kaiane Aldorino from Gibraltar.
The team will take part in the Joburg Rocks campaign, which includes a series of events such as the Festival of Africa which highlights African music, dance, food and history.
England's Laura Coleman said "I told everyone here I was a reserve for the national team! The atmosphere's electric, everyone's got vuvuzelas – apparently they are South Africa's secret weapon."
"I'm unbelievably excited to be here. I can't wait to learn some African dancing, it's very different to ballet," said Australia's Sophie Lavers.
