THEY are the fairest in the land and vying for the chance to be crowned Miss Universe.
But looking this good is serious business. Personal trainers, nutritionists, stylists, hairdressers and, of course, spray tanners will all have played a part when the winner of the Miss Universe Australia national final is announced at the Sydney Sofitel on Thursday night.
But just consider the payoff with former Miss Universe Jennifer Hawkins now presiding over a $5 million fortune and Australian winners Rachael Finch and Erin McNaught with TV careers.
"I think girls like that show where you can take it," said Glebe's Shadae Magson, one of four NSW contestants.
